Hello,
Thank you for visiting our site.
Despite the challenges we faced with the pandemic and weather events, we thank God and Our Lady for being at the center of our school during our 100th birthday this school year.
Fr. Reuben has been a strong spiritual leader for our school community. He has blessed us by celebrating weekly Masses, hearing confessions, and leading the middle school off campus retreat. Students are drawn to him when he visits campus since they see Jesus thinking, speaking, and acting through him. How fortunate we are that Fr. Reuben is evangelizing our hearts and helping us develop a close, personal relationship with Jesus!
Test scores and enrollment have increased from last school year to this one. Algebra I and English I have been added to the curriculum this school year to better prepare students for high school.
MDCS encourages talent. It was great to see standing room only at our Christmas program where students performed on stage. Coach Giaratano is teaching lessons to our athletes both on and off the court. Students have the opportunity to participate daily in PE. Mrs. Lopinto took the lead to form a 4-H club this year to develop our students’ leadership skills. Members of the “Teacher Helpers’ Club” are learning the true meaning of service by helping our Pre-K and lower elementary students and teachers.
More Chromebooks were purchased this year to give the students the opportunity to develop technology skills that will be needed in high school and college. Plans are being made to eventually expose students to art. We continually evaluate our overall program to determine how we may improve to embrace the future. We welcome your feedback.
Thank you for partnering with us as we accomplish our mission and vision together for our students. Let’s continue to pray for unity in our community with God and Mother Mary at the center of our team to help our students advance. We are looking forward to hopefully having a 100th birthday party for our school before the school year ends and beginning the next century of educating students for the next 100 years.
Sincerely,
Mr. Fields, Principal
